One of the most immediate and attractive aspects of working in Dubai is that fact that there are no personal taxes levied against income from employment. This is not as an incentive to attract foreign investment; it is long established fact and policy because direct taxation is against the traditions of the entire United Arab Emirates. This means that if you work in Dubai you will enjoy and benefit from your entire salary, you will have considerably more disposable income than you are used to, you will be able to enjoy the benefits of the offshore financial world and you will be able to afford a lifestyle that others can only dream of.
Most of the expats in Dubai found a job first, but some go on a holiday and find a job on the spot. you can start off with your 30 day visit visa but you will then have to obtain an employment visa which your employer will sponsor for you. If you are a married man and you would like to then sponsor your wife and children to reside with you in Dubai you have to be earning Dhs 4,000 a month without accommodation benefits included or Dhs 3,000 a month if your accommodation is included. Unfortunately married women who are granted employment visas cannot generally sponsor their husbands residence visa...notable exceptions are women doctors, nurses and teachers.
You should consider the following subjects before taking an offer: - How will housing be arranged for me ? - What about my health insurance ? - Can I bring my family with me ? - What is my partner allowed to do or not in Dubai? - How is the education in Dubai, which schools to consider for my kids ?
